FAQs

  • If I get my damage repaired, will it completely disappear?

Not always, depending on the damage. Windshield repair prioritizes structural integrity over cosmetic perfection. While the improvement in appearance is significant, the aim is not complete invisibility of the damage. The primary objective is to restore the structural integrity of your windshield, keeping you safe by preventing the damage from spreading. However, to give you a better idea, you can expect the looks to improve by 60% - 85%.

  • Do you salvage old repairs?

Sadly, it's challenging to achieve satisfactory results when salvaging a DIY kit repair. Due to liability concerns, we have to decline salvaging attempts, unless it was a repair we completed. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

  • Do I have to have a garage for you guys to work in?

Not always. As long as the temperature is right around 50 degrees or more then we can repair the damage outside! However, if the windshield is abnormally hot due to sun exposure, then working in a garage can be necessary to achieve satisfactory results.

  • How soon can I wash my car after the repair is done?

Right away. Once the repair is done, the chip is all cured so you are good to treat your vehicle as normal!

  • How long is the repair going to take?

Typically, most rock chips take anywhere from 30 minutes - 1 hour. Long cracks can take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on how bad the damage is.

  • Can you repair a long crack?

Yes! We can repair a long crack, ideally 14 inches and under. The crack also has to be fairly fresh, as aged cracks typically have contaminants in them that deem the crack unrepairable. Any long crack that is a few months old or more would be pushing it. The best time to repair these cracks is the moment they occur.
